The world before smartphones and internet was better. The world before the internet and smartphones was better. It was happier. Back before the internet people just talked from their own point of view, just as themselves and we as people were happier and had a greater sense of adventure. The world was about people, not information. Now everyone has to be informed, everyone just repeats whatever info was posted that morning. Everyone read the bulletin boards to each other to show how informed we are. Things have changed. People are bombarded with all the horrific truths of every bad thing and every tyrant on every continent. Teenagers have all of humanity's combined knowledge in their pockets, along with instant global communication and the suicide rate has tripled. Back then you didnt know about injustices on some random people on the other side of the planet, but you did know everyone that lived in your neighborhood. You had to be interested in that info and look it up. 24 hour news media didn't follow you throughout your daily activies. You didnt know global statistics on migrants and effects of climate change on Banghladeshi coastal villages or some woman being on trial for something stupid in Saudi Arabia unless you specifically looked it up. You knew your neighbors. You knew your community. Now everyone knows everything, and no one knows anybody. https://inspirational.ly
